I brought this 1982 RD350LC six years ago, it was a wreck but a genuine 4LO with matching numbers.
The intention was to restore it to showroom condition. I spent a fortune collecting NOS parts, most of witch were rare six years ago (most have at least doubled in value since then). There are too many NOS parts to list but some of the best are: rear brake pedal, chaingaurd, all bodywork (except for tank),all switchgear, indicators, rad shroud, brake hoses, etc etc, the list is endless. The engine was fully restored by Taymar (LC specialist) at a cost of £1200. I've just got to sort out the L/H exhaust and a few other bits before I can finnaly fire it up for the first time. The reason I'm wondering about it's value is because the I work for is shutting down and I will be made redundant this summer. I may have to face the unthinkable and sell it before getting any use from it. It will of course be fully commissioned and MOT'd by then, so what do you think?

I'll give you £500 cash for it now
Seriously though, I agree with the others. And if the weather ever gets a bit sunnier it will sell even easier then. |

My guess £3,500 on Ebay . Will probably be bought by the trade to be advertised in a 'shop window' near you for £6,500.
I'd advertise it myself for £4,500 and hang in there . |

I would agree with Johnny on this one. We seem to under value our bikes almost as if we know they are not as rare as outsiders think (if that makes sense) I would be very surprised if you get less than £4500 for it . Lovely example.

Tell you what I think, keep it. Somethings are worth more than pound coins. I've had mine for 23 yrs this year, through thick and thin, good times and bad. It's been used, laid up, re-built, used, laid up then used again. They don't cost nowt parked in the garage apart from a tin of WD. I doubt you're gonna be unemployed long mate, chin up and all that. You'll regret gettin' rid, everyone I know that has got rid of stuff has. |

I would try £4500 but £3995 is about right for a minter with matching numbers.
I have seen them at £5500 but not sure if they sold. I would not sell mine for £3500 as I know what it cost to restore and it hasnt got matching numbers |

I've seen stunningly minty minters go for 5K
I've also seen the padgetts 250's that he wants £7.5k for Your 350 looks the part I'd be proud to own that one. But I would change the head bolts to Green

I'd put a rear brake rod on before worrying about the colour of the head bolts Dave

Terrible news about your job. I would try and hang on to the LC for as long as possible, you never know what is around the corner and if things do not go right you can sell it when money is really tight. They do not eat much sitting in a corner in the garage. Good luck Richard |
