Aquired this today, it's a 1977 GT750B with 49k on the clock, it needs a bit of tidying up, can't decide whether to keep it stock or do a bit of a special perhaps with some of Higgsy's lovely pipes

Looks good mate.
I have an A model, and if you do get some Higgspeed pipes you wont have any trouble getting your money back by selling the original pipes by the look of them!! I for one could do with the upper right, as mine has slight damage, and drives me mad when I look at it
I have seen new ones occasionaly , but about£650. Its just too much. I have also thought about getting some Higgspeeds. Where are you? |

Thought about rechroming the originals but this would probably be about the same cost as Higgsy's and without the sound, although as I'm putting Microns on the 400 it might be an idea to have a quieter option, I'm in Sheffield South Yorkshire where are you? |

Wow, she's VERY nice and original. Love those B-spec front mudguards too, very elegant. Get some spannies sorted, Higgsy's look great and miles better than the stubby Allspeeds, in my view Here's my mostly stock 380 with some period spannies of uncertain origin. They really perk up the performance, jetting and air filters are untouched. It looks a lot slimmer with the spannies, and the entire set of 3 weighs the same as ONE factory outer exhaust ....

I had a GT750A back in the day and I always wanted to put a Piper 3-into-1 on it, but couldn't afford to.
Sapped some top-end power, but boy did they ever sound gorgeous

One like this Peter? this is a project I bought a while back with piper, dresda box arm, nickel plated frame and gull seat. I'm toying with the idea of putting Ducati 916 running gear on it I't not running at the moment but came with plenty of spares which the guy had amassed during his 25 years of ownership Craig, your 380 looks great and I bet it sounds good with those spannies on Grant |

Wasn't the original design requirement "reliable touring" as opposed to Kawasaki's three cylinder sling shots? Years ago I peeked inside one of the cylinders and thought the porting rather mundane. Restore the stock exhaust.
