I need to remove the armature. Can anyone tell what the bolt to use for a slide hammer. I know It's a 10mm but what thread pitch is it. Thanks in advance

Surley the 10mm thread is on the end of the crank ? You need a puller mate and shock it off too.

Its a fine pitch and beleive me they take some getting off. I had to take mine to a local engineer, the problem is you cant heat it as it would melt the shellac on the armature

A silencer mount bolt (which is fine thread) from the RD250/400d was what i used i think with summat inside to space it off when i took the one i sent ya off the engine

Hi there, you can buy the correct tool from Motoward, got mine a few years ago-all it needed was a tap and off it came. I have removed three now and no probs so far.

Dont use the "correct tool" I did and it nearly ruined the internal thread. Just get the correct thread bolt and use gent taps with a slide hammer.
