You don't get one. I think its just a pointless number generator. Wrist bands to get into Lyneham have to be bought at Delamere.

Lyneham has tons of parking space away from buildings so there ain't really a security issue there.

Got my 'Registration Confirmation' e-mail this morning.
Also got a day-pass from the wife as it's mothers day, so should be all set to go.
Except if it's raining. I'm too wimpy to do an almost 400-mile round trip if it's wet & miserable.

So being a bit optimistic, should those of us going from the Essex/Suffolk/Kent side start thinking about meeting spots and routes? We could even meet up and discuss it over a beer or a Curry, (I know a really good Nepalese Curry restaurant in Brentwood).

I got my confirmation email after revisiting the site and asking for it to be confirmed. I'm still a bit concerned over this access road though. Has anyone asked the old bill what the score is?

Latest news is the run is too be escorted by police outriders. They are coming on their own time.

The organisers, who are from London way, are up here tomorrow to see the lay of the land. I think they were barraged with comments about the area by some of us locals pointing out some of the problems with their plan.

More news tomorrow. Anyone who wants to come to mine on the day is welcome - I know the back way in...

Not necessarily Paul.
I f you get off the M4 and take the A4 it will go straight into Chippenham, and then there is a 'B' road that takes you up and over the M4 to the services.
A4 is a better road too, nice sweepers and not as boring as the M4.

The official way to enter the services would be to go to J18 and come back.

If you are coming from London on the M4 it is easier to leave at J17 and enter using the route on the map.

The service gate/road on the south side services is on the M4 exit slip road. On the day loads of bikes tring to turn up it may cause problems and there is no guarantee the gate will be open. For safety reasons I could se a coopper posted there waving people past. These service gates are just unmanned farmer type gates for employee entrance. They are open 24/7 and everyone uses them although they are not official entrances. I see no such problems with the north side service gate.
